Robert Eeuwes

Robert Eeuwes () (born July 24, 1985, in Toronto, Ontario) is a punter/kicker with the University of Windsor's varsity football team, the Windsor Lancers of Canadian Interuniversity Sport. He participated in pre-season training camps with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League in 2007 and 2008.
== Early career ==
A product of Nelson High School in Burlington, Ontario, he graduated from McGill University in 2006 with an arts degree, majoring in political science and industrial relations. He led the McGill Redmen in scoring during each of his last three seasons, while averaging 34.0 yards per punt and connecting on 65.6% of his field goal attempts (21 of 32). He registered 46 points over eight games in 2004, 25 points over five games in 2005 and 45 points in seven games during his senior year.
His best game as a place-kicker for the Redmen was on October 23, 2004, when he kicked five field goals in a 29-13 victory at Mount Allison.
In 2007, Eeuwes received an invitation from the Toronto Argonauts' to observe their pre-season training camp. It was there where he learned about life as a professional football kicker from Noel Prefontaine, who also imparted some of his kicking advice.〔 〕 Eeuwes later played for the London Silverbacks of the North American Football League where his play earned him the Silverbacks' Special Teams MVP award in the Silverbacks' championship year.
In 2008, he signed as a free agent with the Toronto Argonauts and attended training camp. Eeuwes was ultimately a training camp cut which was foreseeable with Mike Vanderjagt's return to the club.〔 〕 On July 23, 2008, Eeuwes committed to the University of Windsor, joining the Windsor Lancers as their kicker.〔(University of Windsor press release )〕
